Here are conditions treated in our eye clinic:

Dry Eye Syndrome

When your eyes don’t make enough tears or evaporate fast, you are likely to have dry eye syndrome. Also, individuals who wear contact lenses or have undergone LASIK surgery are likely to have dry eyes. While dry eye isn’t a severe condition, it causes discomfort, making it difficult to read, drive, or watch. Also, if it goes untreated for long periods, it may cause scarring in the eye, which is painful and can cause vision loss.

Treatments for dry eye syndrome include anti-inflammatory medication, dietary changes, treating the underlying condition, and updating your lenses. Also, lifestyle tweaks like avoiding dry conditions and resting eyes when looking at digital devices can go a long way in managing dry eye syndrome.

Computer Vision

In the 21st Century, staring at your computer and mobile phones for long hours has become the order of the day. However, this behavior has led to eyestrain, also known as digital or computer vision syndrome. Treatment involves special glasses, better posture, blinking and resting your eyes after 20 minutes of looking at digital screens.

Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)

Sometimes called pink eye is the infection of the transparent membrane in your eye. Conjunctivitis is characterized by eye redness, itchiness, watery eyes, and more. Treatments for conjunctivitis include eye drops (antibiotics) and home remedies. An optometrist on our team can give eye care for conjunctivitis.

Glaucoma

It’s a group of diseases that cause gradual damage to the optic nerve, which results in irreversible blindness. Glaucoma results in a buildup of pressure in the eye either because you are producing too much fluid, or the drainage isn’t optimal. When identified early, glaucoma can be controlled using eye drops and managing the underlying condition.

Cataracts

When you have a cataract in your eyes, your lenses become clouded, and your vision is like looking through a frosted-up window. As a result, driving and reading can be challenging if you don’t seek treatment. We diagnose cataracts by conducting a comprehensive eye exam. The early stage of cataracts can be managed. Advanced cataracts can only be treated by surgery.
